On January 20, Eike Becker attended the meeting in Kiel as a member of the design advisory board to discuss key construction projects and urban development in the city with the city administration and other advisory board members.

At our M50 construction project in the Macherei district on Halleschen Ufer in Berlin, work has begun on installing photovoltaic panels on the south facade.

In view of the standards that have been hyped up for years, private housing construction in Germany has almost come to a standstill. That is why we need different houses. They must be simpler to build in order to be affordable, and they must have new social qualities: lower costs and higher quality of life. Denn wir können nicht bauen, weil wir die falschen Wohnungen im Kopf haben. 50 % Single Haushalte mit wenig Begegnungen und viel Einsamkeit. Dazu sind die Wohnungen dann noch so teuer, dass sie sich kaum einer leisten kann. Das muss doch besser gehen.

Eike Becker_Architekten was part of the Network for Architecture Exchange (NAX) delegation trip to Canada and the USA in November 2025. The aim of the trip was to deepen professional exchange between European and North American architects and to discuss current developments in the construction and real estate industry.

Following the successful gutting and partial demolition of the former post office check office, and subsequent completion of the final building ceiling and installation of the façade, project developer Art-Invest Real Estate celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the M50 in the Die Macherei district of Berlin-Kreuzberg on September 10.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the 4-star hotel in Bad Salzuflen took place on June 10. Eike Becker_Architekten won the competition for the spa hotel in 2023. Completion is planned for spring 2027.

On May 22, 2025, this year's Brownfield24 Convention took place at CTPark Wuppertal with over 200 participants. At the center: exchange about sustainable urban development, innovative project solutions - and the ceremonial presentation of the Brownfield Awards® 2025.

The M50 continues to grow and also upwards again. On the east side of the building, the façade has been completed up to the 18th floor. The 22nd floor is being restored.

Eike Becker will be attending MIPIM 2025 in Cannes from 10-14 March! We are co-exhibitor of the ‘German Pavilion’ in the Espace Riviera. MIPIM is the world's leading property fair, bringing together influential players from all sectors of the international property industry.

THE B reinterprets the classic Berlin commercial centre and creates an innovative meeting place that harmoniously combines indoor and outdoor areas. The striking façade of the five-storey office building thematises the grid of the building structure and clearly emphasises the storey ceilings. Sculpturally shaped frames characterise the lower floors, while the upper floors are accentuated by two-storey sheet metal frames.

Our ecological and social project at Offenbach harbor: ROCKYWOOD is a sustainable project that focuses on people. In just one and a half years, a place for “new work” was created on around 11,000 square meters. The highlight: ROCKYWOOD consists of two buildings - Rocky and Wood - which together form a micro-neighborhood. Wood was built using modular timber construction, which - similar to Timber Pioneer - ensures a pleasant and healthy indoor climate. Here, 2,600 cubic meters of wood were used, thus binding approx. 2,500 tons of CO2. Rocky, on the other hand, is a classic concrete building, but here various requirements were taken into account through architectural tricks.

EXPO REAL, Europe's largest real estate trade fair, will be back in Munich from October 7 to 9, 2024. Eike Becker will once again be attending the trade fair to discuss current real estate topics such as transformation and decarbonization.

On the occasion of the “Ettersburg Talk”, Eike Becker gave important impulses for sustainable building and exciting insights into a current residential project.

At this year's polis Award 2024, our RockyWood office building was awarded 2nd prize in the “Ecological Reality” category, ahead of the Roots timber high-rise in Hamburg and behind the Grünling-Weleda Cradle Campus in Schwäbisch-Gmünd.

On 29 February 2024, the 2nd URBAN TIMBER: Timber Pioneer Frankfurt event will take place, a fascinating opportunity to explore the future of building with timber in urban environments. This unique event brings together the construction industry, project development and timber construction experts.

High-rise buildings are visible from afar, provide orientation in the urban context and generally offer impressive views.
